Intraoral Cameras
An intraoral camera is a very small device shaped like a wand that we can use to take pictures of your mouth at various angles. Being able to produce detailed images of your teeth and gums helps us diagnose dental problems that might have been missed with a simple visual examination. This technology is also useful for patient-dentist communication; now we can show you exactly what we see in your mouth so that you’re fully aware of what the situation is.
All-Digital Dental X-Rays
While using X-rays to detect dental problems underneath the surface of your smile is nothing new, the switch to digital X-rays has come with many benefits. The amount of radiation that you will be exposed to has been reduced by up to 80%, and the process of capturing and developing the images is now much faster. We can also magnify and color code these images to help you understand exactly what you are looking at.
Digital Impression System
Gone are the days of using gag-inducing putty to take a dental impression. Our team prefers a more precise and comfortable method of using our digital impression system. All we’ll need to do is wave a small wand around the mouth with a camera on the tip of it. This will create a 3D, photorealistic digital blueprint of your mouth that we can then transfer to our dental laboratory to craft a restoration, nightguard, denture, or other oral appliance.
